Wishlist - Piperlime Edition

Here are some items that have caught my attention from my second favorite online store

Since I still haven't made up my mind on what to wear for NYE, here are some dresses that are in the running.

My next picks are some comfy looking sweaters for the LONNNNNGGGG winter here in NYC

(The next one is not a sweater....but I really like it :-)

Zoa Silk Embroidered Blouse

Now I should have put this next item on the very top of the wishlist because it is my absolute favorite.  The picture on the site doesn't do this piece justice.  I've seen this watch on some of my favorite fashion bloggers OOTD and it is just fabulous!

So you can get a better view, here is a pic from where she highlights the watch.

Booties, Booties, Booties, Booties Everywhere!!

So super duper pumped right now! So, I mentioned in a past post as well in my Youtube boot haul video that I was on a serious search for a pair of black ankle boots.  I liked so many different styles that I couldn't make up my mind.  There were only two requirements. The first and most important is that I wanted to have a pair that would go with multiple outfits BUT they had to meet the second requirement and that was that I didn't want them to be plain looking.  So the search went on for about two months.

I am happy to say that the search is over.

But before I get to my lovlies, I will take you guys through a few of the booties that were thrown into the mix. (Quick reminder: The previous contenders were the two tone leather ankle boot from Zara and the Michael Kors Marlow ankle bootie)

These are the Cindy Koka leather ankle boots by Giuseppe Zanotti.  Now I love any and everything with and inset platform.  But these ended up being crossed off the list because other than the platform, they were a bit plain.  I told myself I would only buy one pair of black booties so I wanted the flash and the utility all in one package.  These would go with anything, but there is no "KAPOW!"... So I kept looking.

The next pair I considered were the Cindy leather ankle boots by  Guiseppe Zanotti.

Now I really liked the shape of these but in the end the height of these scared me away.  I've never worn an ankle boot that covered the ankle.  So again, I thought of my only 1 pair rule and let these go.

Aftere searching and searching, I was just about to go ahead with the Zara booties but as luck would have it, a cousin of mine invited me to an Armani sample sale.  I didn't go there thinking that I would find anything in particular.  I just went along well... because... how do you pass up an invite to a sample sale?

After I got annoyed with rummaging through the racks, I walked over to the stacks of shoe boxes to see what they had to offer.  I didn't really see anything right away that caught my eye so  I was about to walk away.  But then the women on the other side of the table said, "There are different styles on the bottom layer".  And that's when it happened.  I lifted up a box and there they were.  My booties!  So without further ado, I would like to introduce you to my lovlies.

They are kind of like a dorsay pump with fabric connecting the leather around the heel and the toe.  The middle section is made of something I can only describe as a sturdy tulle fabric (This is my KAPOW!)  There is also a seam of leather down the top middle of the shoe.  Stay tuned for plenty OOTD with these babies.

I searched and searched but could not find them anywhere online.  But they retailed at about $850 but I got them for a whopping 75% off.  Horray for me!

Is It Too Early to Plan My New Year's Outfit???

Halloween seemed to come and go like a flash.  I have to say it kind of snuck up.  I had this whole plan to go to the Halloween store and really go all out for my costume this year.  Ummm... that plan didn't go so well... Well let's just say someone in the office had to remind me that Halloween was only a week away.

But I'm not going to dwell on the past...

The whole point of this post is that I want to know if I can just fast forward to Christmas and then on to my sparkly (it must be sparkly) New Year's outfit.  Not that I don't love Thanksgiving.  But there is no getting fab aka closet parading done on Thanksgiving.  When it comes to holidays, my sweety pie and I don't own Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving still belongs to my mother.  We go down south and stuff ourselves on my mother's and aunt's cooking.  I sit around in my version of sweatpants... which are leggings because sweatpants are just... "EWW" and I watch tv with my dad.  If any of us snaps out of our food coma long enough, we may go to a movie because there are always good movies released around Thanksgiving.  So you see, there is nothing closet fab about Thanksgiving.

Christmas day is not really a closet parade day either as we have not yet gotten to the level of having chic Christmas parties.  It ends up being pretty much a family day as well.  We have started little traditions where we have two Christmas related activities each week leading up to Christmas (Like seeing the NYBC perform the Nutcracker at BAM this year!!! Super excited!!)  Those outings give me lots of opportunities to strut but I have to say that New Year's is the one holiday that is completely and selfishly ours.  We get to be our young and revelrous selves.  So I am super excited and want to go all out this year.

So here is my point... finally.  I don't know if I should wear something completely new or just something remixed.  My first idea it to wear a full sequin suit.  Two years ago, I broke out the outfit below and loved it!  It is just a sequin blazer I picked up from Urban Outfitters and some shiny leggings.

Now, I can remix this outfit with a fab pair of sequin leggings I found on

Voila! A perfect NYE sequin suit!  The leggings are only about $37 so it would be the more affordable option as well.

But of course, the second option is much more fun.  A BRAND NEW DRESS!  I have been looking for a hot sequin dress for some time now and I finally found one that I am totally in love with!

It a gold sequin one shoulder dress by Aidan Maddox.  Get ready to drool!

I love the chunky sequins on this dress!! It is so so beautiful.  There were also quite a few awesome dresses by (my favorite) Alice + Olivia but they were all priced over $450.  This dress is priced around $280.  Quite a find!  Just look at those nuggets!
What's a girl to do??!!
